Fair & Square.

Fair Trade is an organized social movement that is focused on helping producers in developing countries operate with better trading conditions, fair deals and sustainability. This trading partnership thrives due to its commitment to honest dialogue, transparency and respect, and seeking greater equity in international trade.

Fair Trade advocates the payment of a higher price to exporters as well as higher social and environmental standards. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers. Fair Trade is focused on community development, exports from developing countries to developed countries, creating opportunities for disadvantaged workers and making goods that are good to the Earth. Some of these items include handicrafts, coffee, cocoa, sugar, tea, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, chocolate, flowers and gold. Businesses that are Fair Trade focused often operate dramatically different from other businesses. Fair Trade is people powered, Earth friendly – Aimed at improving lives (and the planet) with quality goods.

Simply put, Fair Trade is fair. It’s fair for everyone. Quality goods produced by skilled artisans who deserve respect and the opportunity to live sustainable lives.
